From the crest, the reward is immediate, with sweeping views across the course towards the Island-style 10th green and out over Cork Harbour.

Hole 12 – Par 3 | Stroke Index 12

The hole also presents a tricky bailout area to the right. A shot drifting too far in that direction will roll down a slope away from the putting surface, leaving a demanding uphill recovery.

An uphill par 5 that demands confidence and precision from the tee. The drive must be struck firmly over the outer edge of the lake, while avoiding a fairway bunker positioned on the right side of the landing area.
The green is protected by a further fairway bunker. Any shot coming up short will typically roll back down the slope, while overcooking the approach leaves a difficult recovery into a steep, rough-covered hill behind the green.
Thoughtful club selection is essential to avoid the hazards that define this challenge.
